About Us
Shri Datta Brundavana Gou Kshetram is located in the remote village called Chakicherla, Ulavapadu Mandal, Nellore District, and Andhra Pradesh on the banks of Bay of Bengal.
In the present-day scenario, Goushalas are the only alternatives to shelter these stray cows,
as a religious ban on cow slaughter is increasing their numbers every year. The sheltering
of old, abandoned, unproductive, infertile and infirm cows in shelters, referred to
as “Goushala” is a traditional practice in India.
Shri Datta Brundavana Gou Kshetram is a registered Nonprofit organization established
in the year 2018 with a noble and divine cause, taking the wellbeing of sick and
aged Goumathas (cows) in a small village Chakicherla located on the banks of
Bay of Bengal in Ulavapadu Mandal of Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh, India.
This Noble organization was the brain child of few people who strongly believe that a
cow can benefit human race by optimizing ecological balance, by providing milk
as a supplement to mother’s milk and giving cow dung and cow urine as both fertilizer
and pesticide and many more benefits where studies have proved the five products
obtained from Indian Desi Cow ie., Milk, Curd, Ghee, Dung & Urine in proper compositions
(Panchagavya) can cure diseases like Cancer. Such a Goumatha which is a boon to
human existence is now in a great danger without proper food, shelter, care and protection. Many of them are being shifted to slaughter Units by some cruel people.
The attempt to satisfy their thirst in serving the Goumathas was encouraged and
supported by several like-minded people without whom this could not have been possible.
Presently, there are more than 222+ Cows, Bulls & Calves (Goumathas, Nandis ,Calves) at
Shri Datta Brundavana Gou Kshetram (SDBGK) Goushala , with many more to join in
near future from nearby villages, due to drought and high maintenance costs for
farmers.
These cows are not for any dairy use.
